12.0.1 Beta is (nearly) out

HCL have announced that the new beta for Domino 12.0.1 is out.

It’s freely available from tomorrow (Tuesday) for anyone who is licensed on Flexnet.

There’s incremental improvements everywhere here, with many of the newer features of R.12 more tightly integrated. For example:

• Cert Manager no longer requires a specific DSAPI filter

• The Domino Directory Template has been cleaned up,

• New helpful messages for users via TOTP,

• Improvements to .ind handling,

• New notes client notes.ini settings,

• Improved workspace design and high resolution icons

But there are significantly more sizable features

• 64 bit Designer Client

• An Advanced Properties Box (including options to copy to clipboard and export to csv)

• DOMI (Domino Online Meeting Integration) is now actually integrated in a Domino release.

• There’s also a new version of HTMO, which nearly passed me by (to be honest there’s a lot of people waiting impatiently on KEEP to be integrated so we can can get fully integrated EWS) until I saw this feature: “Full support for delegated access (mail, calendar, contact) “. I’m looking to trying that out, as lack of delegation has (always) been a MAJOR barrier for adoption of HTMO (and previous iterations).

I can’t wait until this is up on Flexnet so we can all try it out.
